Rock Steady Drilling was established by Director Richard "Clem" Hughes. After doing an apprenticeship as a Stonemason in Bath and Bristol, he started off his career in rope access and rigging after being asked to help a friend build a stage whist working as plant operative at a show nearly 20 years ago. He spent years working primarily on big stadiums, and after the 2012 London Olympics, it was time to be nearer his family in the South West, concentrating on rope access geotechnical work and stonemasonry work and sub contracting to some of the best companies in these fields. He has been collecting drill rigs ever since and worked all over the South West as an owner operator and started Rock Steady Drilling so that the best operatives in their field of speciality could be brought together to make a very challenging job much easier by employing hard working and highly skilled operatives working as team.
